The "PLEDGE"

8.8.2025..

When I heard the children recited the PLEDGE, I got GOOSEBUMPS! Like seriously?! Indeed after so many years of not hearing the PLEDGE, I found the PLEDGE sound so foreign..I looked closely at every word in the PLEDGE..I was shocked and wondered,"Is that what I recited throughout my primary & secondary schools' days?..WOW! I was NAIVE indeed throughout those years"..🤭🤭🤭

Now in my 50s and after going through just by staying around, indeed the PLEDGE was written "too kindly"..#ThankYouSir 

 .

I just smiled faintly listening to the PLEDGE being recited by those innocent faces..What will it be like when these innocent faces learnt the "hard" ways of surviving this island..? When no huge financial fund indeed stopping them from leaving..

I have learnt a lot just to survive here..bcoz I have not much monies to allow me to escape..Indeed the PLEDGE sounded out of actual factual context of life in this ISLAND, in my ears..#LikeBeeBuzz #AnnoyingSound

I am not being ungrateful brat..I am thankful for all financial assistances given to me and  family all these years..I am just telling myself WHY is the PLEDGE sounded weird..after many years not hearing it?!

Yes! Usually every year without fail before the end of May, I would have booked my flight ticket to any destination as my escapade from National Day Celebration..I don't even remember the wordings in the PLEDGE until I heard it on 8.8.2025..

.

I did once wore black to work on eve of National Day..when asked why am I not wearing red & white..My response was - I don't show my love to anyone..what more a country of birth..So, my favourite colour is "BLACK" so, I wear "BLACK" to love myself bcoz no one can love me as deeply as I love myself..NOT even my country of birth!

People can called me "Wet Blanket", that's up to them..but for me, I stand and defend what I love..As I am in my 50s, I just follow wearing red and white on 8.8.2025..but I was feeling uneasy with the recitation of the PLEDGE by those innocent mouths..Oh dear! You don't know what you are saying by that PLEDGE! I just kept quiet. At this age, I prefer to NOT instigate anyone with the TRUTH bcoz the TRUTH hurts..humans of ending era LOVE to hear what they love to hear..not something runing their lives..

Happy 60th National Day, Singapore! May ALLAH gives me His Greatest strength to survive living on this MOST EXPENSIVE cost of living ISLAND in Southeast Asia..Aamiin ya Rabbal 'Alaamiin..

FLASHBACK..2020..

Yes! Year 2020 has left us all..but year 2020 for sure has left a great deal in our lives..for it is the toughest year so far for the whole entire world. I started the year 2020 by losing a former closed colleague end of 2019..It was quite sad but I think she is better off be gone..as most of the instructions she received were misinterpreted and I could not assist her as we were doing different regions' portfolio. She was persistent to have a 24-hours termination which ended me screaming at her stating her request is ridiculous..Please forgive me, Miss J..but sometimes you just reacted like a spoilt bratz daughter of a rich man..yeah! Her parents are damn rich but that's no excuse to be a spoilt bratz at work. Personally, I dislike this kinda behaviour..but too many around me.
