LIFE EXPERIENCE : 2015
In October 2014, a Legal Secretary asked to be transferred to Aministration Department..and I had to handle her not so feminine lady boss. Heard alot from others about this particular boss and I wondered how I will have to handle her. I was not given any choices like other secretaries when comes to handover boss..Sad..
Indeed my living nightmare started immediately. I noticed that this new boss kept printing out the same emails and attachments. I just did not know why she needed a replacement for the transferred secretary if she wanted to do secretarial job herself. Haiiiiizzz..I started to be very unhappy..Worst when she loves to mumbled complaining about the works she did which were supposed to be my work..My filing system for all her legal files were in great mess..duplication here and there. So, I forwarded this issue to the HR who assured me will assist me if ever any issues arised with that new boss..unfortunately when it really came, HR could not take any action..leaving me very disappointed! I love working with my other two bosses but this new boss really sucks..I did planned to stay in the firm long when I accepted the job early 2014 but now, I could not say anything of that sort!
2015
I made up my mind..I QUIT! The new boss indeed not giving any co-operation and no other secretary willing to takeover from me. Sad of leaving but no other choices. The firm compensated me with another one month's salary. Understand what that means - not to give bad review about the firm..The firm was NOT my issue..it was that new boss was a HUGE issue!
I proceeded to other firm - as a Corporate Secretary. First time in my life in the workforce that I had to come to work just to do other secretary who is always on medical leaves..Once she took a long medical leave but I heard that she actually went for a pre-wedding photoshot at overseas! After finishing almost all her unfiled printouts and closed files warehousing, I was left with nothing much to do except once a blue moon job assignment which was chasing clients and other firm for all outstanding payments..The rest of the day, I just stared at the computer screen. I did go around asking anyone if they needed my help but there were a few! At first I thought I could just use the empty moments by drafting a new novel but the minute I typed more than twenty words, for sure someone would prompted what was I typing..including my lady Director who refused to smile at the brown me..unfriendly boss I ever had indeed! So, how to survive? Again upon reaching the third month, I submitted my resignation..I just could not go to workplace and do nothing for eight hours! CANNOT!
AUGUST 2015
Upon my last day at workplace, I went on a trip to Sydney, Australia..my first solo trip to DownUnder. I only did my research on the weather. The moveabout? I just gambled! I arrived in Sydney at 11.30am..still not out of my surprise that I really did reached Sydney ALONE! Taps on my shoulders indeed! I even brought my legal books with me as my semester exam was scheduled next following weeks. Did I study? Barely I did.
Travelling to Sydney on my own was an eye-opener as I could feel the peace of mind while I was there..the excitement to see Sydney Opera House in front of me was making me speechless! I had always dream to be there at Sydney Opera House since childhood. My childhood dream came true! It was ending of winter but I love the coldness. I shopped around..I managed to glance on what had happened in my life so far while sitting in the Sydney Botanical Garden. I was at ease.
Upon returning from Sydney, I found a temporary job which paid me alot. But the employment contract was until end of year 2015 but I learnt alot about JUDGMENTAL humans despite these humans are highly educated. Pity! The ugly truth in Asia! I will write it in other blog entry.
